July 1, 2006
…The Nintendo DS Lite is a highpowerd handheld video game system in a sleek, folding desighn-loaded with features for a unique gaming experience. The color screens are now even brighter-and the lower touch screen provides a totaly new way of playin gand controlling games. Use the built-in wireless mode to share games, chat, or even play multiplayer games on-line via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Play impressive 3-D renderd Nintendo DS games-and play all your favorite Game Boy Advance games in single player mode…
Thats what you will be reading on the long car ride home as you try to withstand the preasure of opening your brand new lite before you get home. Yup, the big N has done it again, they have released a better, cooler, sleeker version of somthing you already own… But this time, its worth it. The rest after the jump!!
When you start to open the DS Lites sacred housing, you can tell that you are gettins somthing differnt. Just the packaging alone lets you know there is something awsome inside. The DS Lite comes with the folowing to get you started:
-Nintendo DS Lite
-Rechargable Batery
-AC Adapter
-Extra Stylus
-Plus the Manual, Nintendo Power Offer, and all that Stuff

When you take your DS Lite out of the box and out of the wraping, the first thing you should do is have some screen protectors at the ready. Since the DS Lites box was factory sealed, there is about a 95% chance that there is no dust in it. So once you open your DS Lite, you should lay on those screen protectors down as fast as you can, before the evile dust bunnies from Sony come and atatch themselves to your pressious screen.
Im not going to lie, All the DS Lite is, is a smaller DS, with brighter screens. But the brighter screens just buy them selves give just about anyone a good enough reason to trade in their old DS and get a Lite. The screens on this thing are godly. They are even brighter than the PSP’s. The lowest setting for screen brightness on the DS Lite is still brighter than the original DS screens.

The DS Lite also has a new look, and it went with the ipod look. It has the white plastic and on top of it there is clear plastic so you can see the white. Nintendo has also removed the Iconic Nintendo Logo, for the first time practically… My guess, the DS is so popular all over the world, that everyone knows what it is… well almost everyone. They instead put the two screens, the DS logo, its almost like the DS has become universal.
